Click here for our video production packages     It's finally arrived - Rich Media Audio files - DNA BACH Technology have done it, they've managed to save the flagging music industry with their extremely clever rich media audio.   So what is it? Known as Music DNA (TM), it's an open source file format (MPEG7), which allows tagging with metadata (XML). This means that you can tag on loads of great stuff such as a music video, a blog, audio analysis, mood, tempo, lyrics to the song etc. It's basically all the tangible stuff that we lost when we stopped buying albums, with a heck of a lot more.   It has its own player, similar to iTunes, but its open source, which means that you wont need to change your portable MP3 player!   Its clearly the future of audio - just as soon as they sort out those pesky DRM rights. Apparently these files will still play when copied, its just the dynamic updates that fail.
