Ossian Video Packages

The packages listed below are for guidance and cover the price of the staff and crew required for your production only. If your video requires actors, presenters, extras, specialised locations, sets or studios they will be priced separately. Our pricing structure allows a degree of flexibility. For example, if your budget was £5000 for a simple two-minute video with a presenter, the price of the presenter could be incorporated into your budget if the edit could be achieved in two days.

What affects cost?

Here are a few things which can affect the cost of your video. This list is not exhaustive:

icon The length of the video

This can affect cost immensely. It determines the amount of filming we need to do and so the size of the crew needed. It also determines the amount of editing and post production that's needed to complete the project.

icon Graphics
Other than simple on-screen text, motion graphics and 3D animations are carefully thought about, storyboarded, created digitally and then animated. This means they must be produced by highly skilled designers and can be very labour intensive.

icon Locations for the shoot

Locations can be tricky. We may need to use a location scout, hire venues, set build (which may require all sorts of skilled people) and we may also need to obtain filming permission from each local authority affected. Alongside location, we have to also factor in logistics - especially when we need to get our crew and equipment to multiple sites.

icon Actors and Presenters

Actors and presenters need to be sourced, shortlisted and auditioned to ensure we have the right people for the shoot before actually using them on the day/s. Depending on their agency and/or status, the rates which the talent can charge is also vastly variable.

icon Music

(a) we are able to source royalty free music. £100-£200
(b) we can compose a bespoke track for you, in-house £500-£999

(c) we can obtain synchronisation licence's for popular music £1000+

3 Top Tips

In order to compare value for money, we have provided 3 great tips to help you get the right video at the right price:

tickSet yourself a budget

This will enable you to phone around and ask each company what you will get for your money. You'll be surprised about how variable the service will be.

Once you have a short-list of companies, take a good look at the videos they have made and ask yourself:
Q: What was your overall view of the video?
- Did it feel slick and professional like something you'd see on TV?
- Would you be proud if it were your video?
Q: How did the video sound?
- Did the music sound cheap/cheesy or did it compliment the video well?
- Was the overall sound quality clear or was it garbled?
Q: And most importantly, how did the videos make you feel?
- Did you actually listen and take in what was being said or did you feel bored and shut off?
